A firing shot could be heard.
Unprotected by the so-called laws,
An innocent fell like a bird
Hunted down without a cause.
Many more souls were murdered,
Hearts slaughtered, brains knocked out,
Young and old fiercely tortured,
No one could move nor shout.
All heads remain bent down,
Their breath caught in their sighs,
In their pain and grief they drown
With dry tears hidden in their eyes.
Who says that war is just and fair,
Or that guns are the ruling mind,
The solution to every political affair
And to matters of any other kind?
I, for one, can never stand
To see my world being threatened,
Beauty buried in the sand
And life completely ruined.
