The French Green Party launched a new operation to denounce the political leaders who claim to be environmentalists but show discrepancy between what they claim and what they actually do. This operation consists of electing the best French political leader most irrespective of his environmentalist promises and the winner is granted the Pinocchio Prize, symbol of lying.
And the winner this year is…. I mean the loser is...
Jean-Claude Gaudin, Mayor of Marseille, for conducting the most catastrophic anti-ecological policy, despite his signing of Nicolas Hulot's ecological pact.
Here's an operation that should spread outside the French frontiers or better to cover country leaders all over the world, namely Western countries. Wouldn't it be interesting to see who of the world leaders would be the winner of the Pinocchio Prize?
I can already well imagine more than one President with a long Pinocchio nose...
